5 cups Shredded Cabbage
4 slices bacon cut in small pcs
3 Tbls flour
1/3 cup vinegar
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbls brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
1 small onion—diced

Directions:
Directions:
Cook cabbage in boiling water for about 7 minutes.

Fry bacon and remove from skillet.

Add brown sugar and flour to bacon fat. Add water and vinegar. Cook until thick—about 5 minutes and add seasonings last.

Add cabbage to this mixture and stir well. Simmer on low long enough to blend all well, and cabbage is tender.
