2 cakes yeast
1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
2-1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
6 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Soak 2 cakes of yeast in one cup cold water. Dissolve 1 cup shortening in 1 cup hot water. When cool, add yeast to mixture. Then add 3/4 cup sugar and 2-1/2 tsp salt, 2 eggs well beaten.

Then add 6 cups of sifted flour a little at a time and beat well as you go.
Leave in Refrigerator over night.

Cut off as needed to make rolls. Grease dough and pan to keep soft.
Bake at 375 until golden brown

This recipe was given to me by my Aunt Rose. Her Aunt, Pearl Heck made these for her when she visited her in Colorado.

I’ve not made them, so can not verify just how good they are but because it was Aunt Rose—Had to include.
