3/4 c Crisco, butter flavored
1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1/3 c milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3 c quick cooking oats
1 c flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 c raisins
1 c pecans, chopped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Combine Crisco,sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat on medium speed with an electric mixer until well blended.
combine oats, flour, salt baking soda and cinnamon. Mix into creamed mixture on low speed until well blended. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.

Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned

*1 tsp each of ginger and nutmeg, 1/2 tsp allspice and 1/4 of cloves can be added to batter to make a spicier cookie.

*For cookies that do not spread let dough set for 2-3 hours uncovered before baking. This makes a soft round cookie
