1 large bunch of broccoli (usually has 3 stems of broccoli)
1# of pasta (small penne; rotini; or shells work well)
Black pepper
Olive oil or vegetable oil
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Boil salted water
Clean broccoli taking off the thick part of the stem
Dice broccoli; not too small. Cook in salted water
When broccoli is half way cooked, add pasta
Take a small sauce pan and put a strainer over it.
As pasta is cooking, slowly take out water with ladle, pouring it into strainer to keep broccoli out of water. Put broccoli back into pasta pan. Continue doing this until pasta is cooked and very little water is left in pan. You don't want it soupy.
Pour oil over pasta. Do not put too much. Add black pepper to taste. Add lots of Parmesan cheese. Stirring constantly. If too thick, you can add some of the broccoli water.
