3 cups sugars
2 sticks butter softened
6 eggs
3 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 (8 oz) sour cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Grease and flour 10" tube pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Sift flour and soda 3 times.
Add salt to egg whites and beat until peaks form.
Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and pinch of salt.
Add one egg yoke at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add flour and soda, alternately with sour cream, fold in beaten
egg whites. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees

This recipe is by Barnetta C Hinote, my grandmother. Another one of her inventions in baking. The sour cream pound cake was everyone's favorite cake she made. It was delicious and she made it quite often. Enjoy!
