2 sticks soft butter

2 c. sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

4 c. all purpose flour

3 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. cloves

1 tsp. allspice

16 oz. can applesauce

2 tsp. baking soda

1 c. chopped nuts (Optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Blend well.

Sift flour and 3 spices together, add to butter mixture, Add nuts if desired. (Before adding applesauce batter will be very stiff.)

Mix applesauce and soda together, add last. Mix Well. Keep batter refrigerated and bake as needed.
Bake in muffin cups at 450º for 15 minutes.
