1 cup dates, pitted
5 T. Water
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/4 scant c. flour
1 rounded tsp. baking poowder
1 c. nut meats
powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Put dates in pan and add water. Stir over heat until cooked to pieces. Cool. In large bowl beat eggs well and add sugar, flour baking powder and nuts. Add cooled dates and mix. Spread thinly in 11x17 inch cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 25 - 30 minutes. Cut in squares and dust with powdered sugar.
