1 1/2 to 2 lbs. pork chops, steak, hocks, or spare ribs
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. (16 oz.) sauerkraut
1 medium carrot, shredded
3/4 c. tomato juice or water
2 tsp. caraway seed (optional)
1 apple, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Season meat with salt and pepper. Place in large baking dish. Combine sauerkraut, carrot, juice or water, caraway seed, and apple. Place this mixture over meat. Cover and bake at 350º for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Or in crockpot, cook 6 to 8 hours on low.
