. 1 pint fresh blueberries or 1 12oz. pk. frozen
. 1/3 cup sugar
. 1/8 cup lemon juice
. 1/4 cup water
. 1 TBS cornstarch mixed in 1 TBS water
, 2 TBS butter ( optional )
. 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Put berries, sugar, lemon juice and water in small saucepan. Cook over medium heat at a low boil for about 2 min.
Mix the water and cornstarch together and add to the berries. Cook for another 2 min, or until sauce is thick. Remove from heat and add the butter and almond flavoring.
Cool. Serve on pancakes, crepes, or ice cream.

When blueberries are in season I buy a box and freeze them in medium size plastic bags. This is more economical then buying the frozen ones.
