Dressing:
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. Lawry's Seasoned Salt or Beau Monde seasoning
1 cup Miracle Whip or mayonnaise

1 medium head of cabbage, finely shredded
1 to 2 carrots, grated
1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Dressing: In a small bowl, mix sugar, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder and salt. After the sugar has dissolved, add the Miracle Whip; mix well. In a serving dish, combine cabbage, carrots and green onions, if desired. Pour dressing over salad; mix well. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

Granddaughter Ellen loved mom's special coleslaw. Mom would make it for most family get-togethers. We are not 100% sure of the proportions, because she never wrote them down. After much trial and error, this is about as close and good as it gets!
