8 Artichokes (medium size)
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
1/2 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and cut artichokes in half, boil until tender.
Place in glass baking dish.
In sauce pan, add butter and mushrooms, cook until mushrooms are tender. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, parsley, milk and cream. Cook until sauce thickens.
Pour sauce over chokes. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over all.
If desired, save a few slices of mushrooms and a little chopped parsley to sprinkle over top.
Place in slow oven to keep warm until ready to serve.
