1 C shortening
1/2 C Brown sugar
1/2 C White Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
1 Egg
2 C Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C Finely Chopped Nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugars, and vanilla. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Combine dry ingredients and mix well. Add nuts.
Form into balls the size of walnuts and roll in sugar. Press flat with bottom of glass dipped in sugar to keep from sticking.
Bake 350º for 10 minutes. Makes 3 dozen
