1 white cake mix (18 1/4 oz box) plus eggs, water, and oil as directed on box
1 box strawberry (3 oz) flavored jello
1 pkg (16 oz) frozen sliced strawberries, thawed and drained
1 cup butter-softened
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350º
Grease and flour two 8 inch baking pans- 1 round and 1 square. Add the Jello to the cake mix then prepare the cake mix as directed on box. Fold in half of the strawberries into the batter. Pour the patter into the prepared pans and bake according to the pkg directions. Remove the cakes from the pans and allow them to cool completely on wire racks.
To make the frosting, beat the butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Add the remaining strawberries and beat until well combined.

When the cakes have cooled, remove them from their pans. Cut the round one in half and place the 2 half circles against two sides of the square cake, forming a heart shape.
