28 Breton Crackers
1 c brown sugar
1 c butter
1 300 g pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 c chopped nuts

Completely line 13" x 9" baking pan with foil Arrange a single layer of crackers over the bottom of the pan. Arrange a second layer to cover spaces between crackers of the first layer. It will be necessary to break some crackers so the entire pan is covered.
In a medium saucepan combine sugar and butter. Cook and stir until the mixture comes to a full boil. Remove from heat and pour evenly over the crackers in the pan. Bake at 400º for 5 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with chips. When chips are soft, spread over top. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill. When chocolate is set, break into pieces. Store in covered container in fridge.

I make this twice a year. To clean up my open crackers when I leave Bear Canyon and again when I leave Arizona. You can use absolutely any kind of crackers.
