"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

1(16-oz) jar dill pickles slices
2 large eggs

Directions:
Spray a rack with cooking spray, place the rack on baking sheet. Put sheet with rack in the center of oven; preheat oven to broil.

Drain pickles.

Whisk eggs, flour, Worcestershire, garlic powder, chili powder, hot sauce, salt & pepper in a medium bowl.

Combine bread crumbs and cheese in large bowl.

Remove heated rack/baking sheet from oven. One at a time, dip pickles in egg mixture to coat, allowing excess to drip off. Dip in bread crumbs, pressing to help crumbs adhere. Lay pickles in an even layer onto prepared rack. Return to oven and broil 3-4 minutes on each side.

Serve with ranch dressing, if desired.
