1.5 cups bananas, mashed, ripe
2 tsp lemon juice
3 c flour
1.5 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c butter, softened
2 1/8 c sugar
3 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1.5 c buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275º
Grease and flour a 9x13 pan.
In small bowl, mix mashed banana with lemon juice; set aside.
In medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In large bowl, cream 3/4 c butter and 2 1/8 c sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in 2 tsp vanilla.
Beat in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Stir in banana mixture.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake in preheated oven for 1 hr or until toothpick comes out clean.
Remove from oven, place into freezer for 45 mins = moist cake.

For frosting use cream cheese, sprinkle chopped walnuts over frosting.
