1 med. onion, chopped
1 lb breakfast sausage
10 eggs
3 c milk
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 c cheese
1 T olive oil
butter for greasing

Directions:
Directions:
Grease a 9x13 baking dish with butter.

Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and saute until translucent. Add sausage and brown. Remove onions and sausage from pan with a slotted spoon and let cool to room temperature.

In a large bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Stir in bread, sausage mixture and cheese. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and cover with foil. Let dish sit in refrigerator for 1 hour up to overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Bake still covered with foil for 50 minutes. Remove from oven and remove the foil. Cook an additional 10 minutes to brown top. Serve immediately.
