5 c. flour
3 tbsp. lard or shortening
3 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. salt
2 c. cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Knead with hands. Put in a plastic bag and chill in refrigerator for 20 minutes.

While dough is chilling, put a griddle on medium heat. Take 2 inch pinches of dough, knead, then flatten and roll out with rolling pin. Roll till thin and place on griddle. When tortilla starts to blister, turn over. When it is light brown remove. Makes approximately 2 dozen.
