1 cup Cornmeal
1 cup plain flour
1/4 cup sugar
4 tsp. Baking powder
1/4 tsp. Soda
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 egg beaten
1 cup milk
1/4 cup lard or oil

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients in a large quart size bowl. Add egg, milk, and lard/oil. Stir until mixed well. Pour in preheated skillet, about 8 inch diameter, and continue heating on top of the stove until bubbles appear in the mixture. Bake at 425º F for about 25 minutes in a preheated oven.
