2 Cans Coconut milk (whole milk)
4 Slices Fresh ginger about the size of a quarter or 1 TBL powdered or crystallized ginger
1/4 C Maple syrup
1 pinch of sea salt
2 Tsp Turmeric
1/2 Tsp Cardamom or black pepper
1 Tsp Vanilla
Please note: must be made 6-8 hours in advance

Place the bowl of your ice cream maker in the freezer overnight. Turn your stove burner on medium heat and put all your ingredients in a large saucepan using a whisk to mix together all your ingredients. Do not let come to a boil, just to a simmer. Remove from the burner and let cool to room temperature, then place in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours.
When ready, remove ginger (if you used slices), and pour into your ice cream machine bowl follow their directions to make the ice cream. When it is done put the ice cream in a freezer- safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
