1 pound fresh, trimmed green beans
4 slices bacon
1 medium sweet onion, chopped
2 teaspoons flour
1/2 cup water
1/3 cider vinegar
2 T. sugar
S & P to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook beans until crisp-tender (8-10 minutes), blanch in cold water to halt cooking. Set aside.
In large skillet cook bacon and crumble; save 2 T. drippings. Cook onions in drippings, stir in flour, cook until bubbly stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients and cook until slightly thickened. Add cooked green beans and bacon; heat through adding S & P to taste. Serve warm or room temperature.
