Ingredients:
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
4 T milk
1 tsp vanilla
4 1/2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix as usual, chill and bake. (Edna's instructions)

Cook's note: When I have made these I have found that rolling them in wax paper, sprayed with a bit of cooking spray and then chilling them overnight makes for easy cutting the next day when you bake them. I also like to shape them into a semi-rectangular, oval shape (which is easy to do when they are in the wax paper tubes.) This dough also freezes well. So you can freeze the sleeves and pull out and bake later.

Personal Notes:
"I went out to find a friend; a friend I could not see.
I went out to be a friend; and friends just flocked to me."
