1 C. sugar 1 T baking soda
1 C. br. Sugar- firmly packed 1 tsp. salt
1 ½ sticks butter 2 C flour
¼ c Crisco 2 ½ c oatmeal (coarsely ground)
2 eggs Chocolate chips- add amt. to suit
1 T. vanilla
1 T baking powder

Cream first 4 ingredients together. Mix in next 5. Fold in flour, oatmeal & chips. Dough will be heavy & sticky. Spoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8-10 min or until browned on top.
