1 3/4 c. egg whites
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. cake flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the egg whites, sugar, and salt. Slowly add cream of tartar. Beat until it stands in peaks.

Sift sugar and cake flour 6 times. Add to egg whites and add vanilla.
Pour into tube pan. Bake at 375º for 35 minutes.

When out of oven, invert pan over glass bottle neck.
