3 cups mashed cooked potatoes
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter (stick margarine)
1/2 cup sweet milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Topping: 1 cup light brown sugar, 1/3 cup cake flour, 1 cup nuts, 1/2 cup butter

Bake at 350 degrees about 35 minutes.

Do not cover.

Can refrigerate and bake just before serving.

When sweet potatoes were in season, Mamom and Pop would make piles of pies and freeze them for the winter. Mamom always had to have, "a little something sweet."
