8-inch baked pie shell
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups milk
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt in sauce pan. Slowly stir in milk. Boil one minute over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir half of mixture into egg yolks, then blend into hot mixture in pan. Boil one more minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Blend in butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell and chill about 2 hours. Just before serving top with whipped cream.
