4 cups flour
1 pinch salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
1 tbsp. baking soda
1 cup Brer Rabbit molasses
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups warm water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt, sugar, shortening and baking soda with pastry blender until fine and crumbly. Take out one cup crumbs and blend, Do Not Beat, just blend. Pour into oblong pan and sprinkle reserved crumbles over top.
Bake at 350º F for 40 to 45 minutes until done.
