1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1-1/2 cups flour
1-3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 apple peeled & chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Combine brown sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Beat white sugar and butter together until smooth. Bear in eggs one at a time and add vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder in another bowl; stir into creamed butter mixture. Mix milk into batter until smooth. Pour 1/2 mixture into a greased 9x5 loaf pan, add 1/2 of the chopped apples and 1/2 of the brown sugar mixture into batter. Pour remaining batter into pan and top with butter and sugar mixture and remaining apple. Pat down apple and slightly swirl brown sugar mixture. Bake at 350º for 30 to 40 minutes.
