2 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tbsp salt
1 1/2 c Water
1 Tbsp Vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar and salt in a stone crock or a bowl. Mix well, add water and to a smooth batter. Add vinegar. Leave cloth covered in a warm place until sour, about 12 hours.

Old time starter without yeast. The starter gathers yeast from the air to provide leavening.
