1 c Buttermilk
2 c Sugar
1 c Butter
3 Eggs
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 c Blackberry jam
3 c Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
Allspice, enough to make it dark
1 c Raisins
1 1/2 c Coconut
1 c Nuts

Frosting
2 c Sugar
1 c Butter
1 ½ c Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs, add sugar and mix. Mix flour, allspice, salt and soda and add to the egg mixture along with the buttermilk and blackberry jam. Mix these ingredients and then add the coconut and nuts. Bake in 9” cake tins to stack. For the frosting boil ingredients until thick and stir until cool. Spread on cake.
