1 large pie crust or pie crust dough
1 cup sour cream
1 large egg
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 medium Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, thinly sliced
6 Tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup flour
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt

1. Preheat oven to 400º F. Roll out dough disk to a 12 inch round then ease into a 9 inch pie plate. Trim and crimp edges. Chill
2. Whisk together sour cream, egg, lemon juice and vanilla. Add apple slices to sour cream mixture and toss well. Spoon apple mixture into pie shell. Bake pie for 30 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 350ºF and bake for 20 minutes more.
3. Melt butter. Stir together flour, both sugars, walnuts, cinnamon and salt. Stir in melted butter. Crumble mixture on top of baked pie and bake until apples are tender, about 20 minutes longer. Allow to cool completely. Chill for 1 hour before serving.
