4 T. butter, softened
2 scallions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 t. lemon juice
4 chicken breasts
1 t. dried thyme leaves
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. ground pepper

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º. In a small bowl, blend together butter, scallions, garlic, lemon juice, thyme, salt and pepper.
2. Arrange chicken, skin side up, in a 13x9x2 inch baking dish. Spread seasoned butter over chicken. Bake 50 minutes (30 minues if using boneless, skinless chicken breasts), or until tender, basting occasionally with pan juices.
3. Serve over rice or potatoes.
