1 LB. BROWN SUGAR- 2 1/3 CUPS
2/3 CUP EVAPORATED MILK
2 TBS. BUTTER
1 TSP. VANILLA
DASH SALT
2 CUP PECAN HALVES

Directions:
Directions:
In a 3 qt. sauce pan cook sugar, milk and butter over high heat stirring constantly until boiling. Reduce heat cook to soft ball stage- 236 degree.
Remove from heat add vanilla, salt and pecans.
Beat with wooden spoon until mixture just starts to thicken, about 2 minutes.
Drop on wax paper with a spoon. Work quickly it thickens fast and becomes to stiff. If thickens heat gently to soften. Cool, put in container for Christmas snacking.
