2 1/2 c flour
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 c butter
1 egg yolk and water to make 2/3 c liquid

Mix together 4-6 c apples, 1 c sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon
*reserve egg white to use on top crust

1-2 c crushed corn flakes cereal (or any flake cereal)

Add egg yolk/water mixture to flour, sugar, salt and butter and mix. Divide dough in half and roll each out to about 9 x 13 for bottom & top of 9 x 13 casserole dish. Take 2 handfuls of crushed cornflakes and sprinkle on bottom crust. Spread thinly sliced apple mixture over this. Now put on top crust. Beat egg white until foamy and spread on top crust. Bake @ 350 for 45 minute until browned and apples are cooked.
