Dad’s Steak Marinade and Caesar Salad Dressing:
Story: Growing up, Dad (Barry Hoffman) was a great cook. He’d spend hours perfecting his spaghetti sauce and chilli – no recipe, just hours of taste, add a pinch, simmer, repeat. Often accompanying Dad’s spaghetti was a side of Caesar salad, made with his homemade dressing. In fact, it wasn’t until I was in my senior years of high school that I even realized you could buy Caesar salad dressing at the store – it was always dad’s recipe in our house! In the hotter months, Dad’s spaghetti swapped out for marinated BBQ steak, and served with the year-round staple, Caesar salad.
