4 T Butter
2 LB Smoked Sausage
1 Large Sweet Onion
1 Stalk. Celery
One each of Red, Yellow, & Orange Peppers
1 1/2 t. Minced Garlic
1 or 2 Jalapenos
2 C. Uncooked Rice
4 C. Chicken Stock (or more if needed)
1 Frozen Bag of Cut Okra

Spices:
1 t. Salt
1 t. White Pepper
1 t. Dry Mustard
1/2 T. Cayenne Pepper
1 T. Ground Cumin
1/2 T. Black Pepper
1/2 t. Dried Thyme Leaves

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in large pan, add sausage, vegetables, rice, spices. Stir until everything is mixed and coated with spices. Add broth. Cook until rice is cooked. Add okra when rice is cooked. Heat until okra is hot.

Imagine my surprise when I found this recipe in grandma's recipe box. I don't ever recall measuring. So you'll probably need to tweak the recipe to your taste (since the qualities above will probably taste nothing like what you're use to.
