"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil
1 1/2 cups chopped onion
1 1/2 pounds ground round steak
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 can tomato soup
1 can tomato puree
2 cans tomato paste with 2 cans of water
1 pound wide lasagna noodles
large container cottage cheese
large package mozzarella
2 packages Swiss cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot with a tight cover, add olive oil; when hot add the onions and cook until soft. Add the ground round steak and salt. Cook and stir until no red color remains. Add garlic, oregano, tomato soup, tomato puree, tomato paste and water. When the mixture comes to a boil, lower heat to a simmer. Cook 2 hours. Stir and add a little water from time to time if needed to keep sauce from being too thick (the noodles will absorb some liquid when baking).
Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain and separate noodles. In the bottom of a large greased casserole dish spread several spoonful's of sauce; top with crisscross layer of noodles and sauce, then place layer of cottage cheese, mozzarella and Swiss cheese. Repeat layers with rest of noodles, cottage cheese, mozzarella and Swiss cheese. Put remaining sauce on top and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 350º until bubbly in the center as well as the edges. About 50 minutes.
