1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 egg (pasteurized if you can find them and if you are concerned about raw egg issuse---but then add another pasteurized yolk to aid in the setting up process)
2 T. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch salt
3/4 cup cream (will be thicker) or half and half, 2% milk, or fat-free---for less rich versions.

Reddi Whip or Whipped cream for garnish
Berries for garnish

Put first 5 ingredients in blender.

Heat cream just to boiling (microwave works fine).

Pour cream into blender and immediately blend for 1 minute.

Pour into small dishes (I use square "shot glasses"---just a little dessert is nice.

Let sit for 2 to 3 hours--cover with plastic wrap or put in a deeper container with a lid.

Serve with whipped cream, berries, cookies (see my Classic Shortbread recipe)

This amazes everyone.

Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman, has a similar recipe that makes about twice as much and uses hot coffee instead of (or in a half/half ratio) to cream. I will try that sometime. More of a mocha experience.
