Traditional spaghetti sauce, with Italian sausage and hamburger mix, add sliced black olives and diced canned tomatoes for texture and flavor

lg pasta shells- stuffing size
small pasta shells
olive oil

filling:
cottage or ricotta cheese
Parmesan / romano cheese
egg
mozzarella cheese
parsley

topping:
mozzarella cheese
Parmesan / romano cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 º

cook shells as per package directions. Al Dente, do not overcook. Drain and cool with cold water to halt cooking process and for easier handling.

mix filling ingredients and stuff large shells. Spread a layer of meat sauce on bottom of baking dish and place large stuffed shells on top.

coat smaller shells with olive oil and toss with Parmesan cheese.
pour smaller shells into dish with filled shells.

cover with meat sauce and top with cheese

bake covered until bubbly

this is an experiment, i made it once, but not quite like this. Next time Ill try this out. Interesting take on a lasagna like dish.
