2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 cup butter
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond
add enough flour to roll out (about 6 cups)
FROSTING: (recipe from Shelly/Diane)
1/2 cup butter or margarine softened
1/4 cup solid shortening
3 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsp. corn syrup
2 tsp. milk
almond or vanilla flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, sour cream and eggs. Add flavorings. Add dry ingredients.
Bake at 350º for 8 1/2 to 9 minutes. Cookies will puff. Do not grease cookie sheets.
This recipe can be cut in half easily.

Frosting: In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and shortening with electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, beat until smooth. Add corn syrup, milk, and flavoring beat until smooth. Add a few drops of milk if a thinner consistency icing is needed.
