4 Cups Peaches, peeled & sliced
1 Stick Butter, melted
2 TSP Baking Powder
2 Cups of Sugar, divided
1 Cup Flour
3/4 cup Milk
Combine peaches with 1 cup of sugar and set aside.

Directions:
Directions:
Pre heat oven to 325*
Melt butter in a 13 x 9 inch glass baking dish. Combine all remaining ingredients and mix until all the lumps are out. Pour mixture over melted butter, then spoon peaches on top of batter. Pour remaining sugar and juice from peaches over the fruit.
Bake at 325* for 50 to 60 minutes.

On an out of town bowling tournament I picked up this recipe for cobbler at a grocery store in the produce section. Years later daddy, Andrew Latiolais, planted a peach orchard. He would load me up with fresh ripe peaches and I would return home to New Orleans and make cobbler for Joe and all our friends. Still a favorite after all these years.
