3 strips bacon
1 med. onion, chopped
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. mustard
1 can green beans
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon until crisp. Remove and crumble. Drain all but 1 tablespoon of fat from pan. Add onion and brown lightly. Stir in cornstarch, salt, and mustard. Drain beans (could also use fresh cooked beans). Reserve half of the liquid and add to the first mixture. Bring to a boil and cook until it starts to thicken. Blend in brown sugar and vinegar. Add beans and heat. Garnish with bacon bits or mix in sliced almonds.
