Ingredients:
Ingredients:
12 cups flour
6 Tbsp. sugar
6 Tbsp. shortening, melted
1 cup mashed potatoes
2 cup potato water
1 qt. milk
2 pkgs. yeast
2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Add potato water, shortening, mashed potatoes, salt and sugar to scalded milk. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast and beat to dissolve yeast. Add 4 cups flour, beat 5 minutes. Add remaining flour for desired consistency. Dough should be on the soft side. Some brands of flour require more flour. Knead the dough.
Place in a greased bowl and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and let rise again until doubled. Divide dough into 6 parts. Roll out with a rolling pin 1 1/2" thick. Shape into oblong and place on a cookie sheet to rise. Prick top gently with a fork after it has risen for 1/2 hour to let out air so bread won't bake a double crust. Bake at 375º for 15 minutes and 15 minutes at 350º until golden brown and light in weight.
