1 lb. sausage
8 slices bread
1/3 c. tomato paste
1 1/2 tsp. crushed basil
8 oz. mozzarella - sliced
3 eggs - lightly beaten
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
cook sausage & drain - place 4 pcs. of bread in greased 8 x 8 x 2 baking dish - combine tomato paste & basil & spread over bread - place 4 pcs. of cheese - spoon sausage over cheese - place remaining cheese on top & top with bread slices - in a bowl combine eggs, milk & salt - blend & pour over bread - cover & refrigerate overnight - bake uncovered @ 350º for 45 minutes
