Ingredients:
Crust:
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 egg separated
1 tbsp. sugar
1 cup shortening
milk
corn flakes (to go on the crust before adding filling)
Filling:
6 apples, sliced
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt, sugar and cut in the shortening. Measure egg yolk, add milk to make 1/2 cup, add to flour, stir until dough shapes into ball. Divide in half, roll out put into a jelly roll pan (10x15). Ok, to be perfectly honest I do not do this anymore. I buy the pie crust in the freezer department. They have a package with enough for 4 pie crusts and you roll out, or I use the already rolled out one. 2 discs or crusts will leave you short so I use 3.
Crush corn flakes to make a 1/2 cup and spread on the bottom crust. Add the filling. Top with other half crust, and seal. Bake 400º for 30 minutes. (I brush the top with a little milk and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.) Drizzle with a small amount of powdered sugar frosting.
