2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
2 eggs

2 sticks margarine
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
4 tsp. cocoa

1 stick margarine
4 tbsp. coca
4 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanlla
1 cup chopped nuts
3.5 cups powdered sugar

1.Mix together sugar, baking soda, vanilla, flour and eggs. 2.In a saucepan, bring to a boil margarine, water, cocoa and buttermilk.( to make buttermilk you can mix 2 tbsp. of vinegar with 1/2 cup milk). After these items are boiled add them to the number one mixture. Pour this batter into prepared pan and bake for 40 minutes at 400º. 5 minutes before the cake is done bring 1 stick of margarine, 4 tbsp. cocoa and 4 tbsp. milk to boil. Add 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 cup chopped nuts and 3.5 cup powdered sugar. Mix and frost cake immediately.
