3 eggs
1/4 c sugar
1 tsp salt
1 1/4 tsp soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 c sour cream
5 c flour
1 c buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Stir sour cream, buttermilk and soda until well blended. Beat eggs until light and fluffy. Add salt and sugar and beat. Fold into cream and buttermilk mixture. Sift flour and baking powder together and fold into mixture, forming a soft dough; knead gently. Let rest 10 minutes. Roll to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into squares. Cut two slits lengthwise, twist dough in and under. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 375º. Fry in oil until light brown on one side, turn over and brown on opposite side.
* This dough can be kept in the refrigerator 3 days and fried as needed. Roll in sugar while warm before serving.
