1/2 gal. whole dill pickles, any brand, kosher or other
4 cups sugar
1 cup tarragon vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 cinnamon stick

Directions:
Directions:
Drain the liquid from the pickles and rinse in cold water, drain, and dry. Slice them lengthwise in strips and return to jar. Leaving the jar lid off. Invert the jar in a dish to continue draining.

Cook the sugar and vinegar for 5 minutes over medium heat. Cool for 2 minutes and pour over pickles. Add the cinnamon stick, sprinkle all the other spices over the top of the pickles. Replace the lid. For 24 hours, keep turning the jar periodically to evenly coat the pickles in the juice. Then, ready to eat.
