3/4 cup uncooked long grain rice
1 1/2 tsp salt
pepper
2 8 oz cans tomato sauce
1 cup hot water
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 lb. hamburger
1 tsp. salt
2 -3 tsp. chili powder
4 slices bacon
1 1/2 cups whole grain corn--drained

In ungreased 2 quart casserole, place layer of uncooked rice. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour 1 can tomato sauce and hot water over rice. Add layer of onion and then green pepper. Add layer of ground beef and sprinkle with the 1 tsp. salt. Top with layer of corn. Add chili pepper to last cup of tomato sauce and pour over corn. Top with bacon slices. Cover and bake at 375º for 1 hour. Uncover and bake 15 minutes or until rice is done.
