6 potatoes, diced
2 onions medium size
1 carrot
1 stalk celery
1/4 cup chicken bouillon
1 T. parsley flakes
5 cups water
1/3 cup butter
pepper to taste
1 13 oz. can evaporated milk
1 T. chives

Knepfla
1 cup flour
1 egg
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Put all ingredients for soup except evaporated milk and chives in kettle. Cook until tender. If desired mash potatoes. Add milk & chives. Bring to boil.

Dumplings: Mix flour, egg & water. Spoon or cut into hot mixture. If you cut the knepfla, use a pizza cutter to cut in small sizes, it works great! Make the knepfla small (dumplings)
